Vienna

Austria’s capital city and it offers a unique blend of imperial traditions and stunning modern architecture. It is famous for its cultural events, imperial sights, coffee houses, cozy wine taverns, and Viennese charm. Vienna can boast two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the historic city centre and the Baroque ensemble of Schönbrunn Palace and its grounds. One can find art treasures and magnificent buildings all over the former imperial capital. The most important “cabinet of art” in the world.

Hallstatt

The village Hallstatt is such an unbelievably spectacular place. You could discover this truly unique culture with such a history all in a breath-taking mountain setting. The market municipality was already inhabited in the 1st millennium before Christ. And Hallstatt is known for its production of salt, dating back to prehistoric times, and gave its name to the Hallstatt culture, the archaeological culture linked to Proto-Celtic and early Celtic people of the Early Iron Age in Europe, c.800–450 BC. It was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

ITINERARY

Day 1 – Vienna


Transfer by coach from the airport or station to a hotel in Vienna.

Day 2 – Vienna – Hallstatt – Salzburg


Breakfast at hotel.

Meet the driver at your hotel and depart by coach for Hallstatt.

Hallstatt is considered Austria's best kept secret and the ‘Pearl of the Salzkammergut’. The small town is one of the most beautiful lakeside towns in the world. It belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage sites as well. Explore the old town and admire the view of the

Mühlbach Waterfall and observe the colorful baroque style homes sprinkled on the mountainside on your way there.

After Hallstatt you will visit the famous birthplace of Mozart, the picturesque city of Salzburg. Enjoy a walk along the picturesque Salzach River and explore this magnificent city.

Day 3 – Salzburg - Berchtesgade (DE) or St Wolfgang - Salzburg

1.) Optional: Salzburg - Berchtesgaden (DE) - Salzburg

It is a fascinating opportunity to visit the picturesque area of Berchtesgaden in Bavaria Germany. Driving past the Salt mines, your first stop will be at Königssee, which is known as ‘The prettiest lake in Germany’. Enjoy this short break in the

Berchtesgaden National Park. Then you will depart to the town of Berchtesgaden, where you will enjoy your free time strolling around the centre, historical buildings and churches in this charming city surrounded by mountains.


2.) Optional: Salzburg - St. Wolfgang - Salzburg

St Wolfgang is located on the banks of Lake Wolfgangsee and it is surrounded by magnificent mountains. Colorful houses, cobbled stone streets, horse carriages, narrow streets and a laid-back vibe - this is what you can expect from this delightful little town. A great way to enjoy some peace and to get an authentic Austrian countryside experience.

Return by coach to your hotel in Prague.

Day 4 – Salzburg – Wattens – Innsbruck


Breakfast at hotel.

Meet the driver at your hotel and depart by coach for Wattens.

Explore crystal in Wattens at the Swarovski Crystal Worlds museum. Enter this fantasy world and discover unique art installations in

the gardens of the ‘Giant’. Next destination will be Innsbruck, where you will take the Nordkette cable car to Seegrube. Walk along the well-developed trail and enjoy amazing views over Innsbruck.

Day 5 – Innsbruck – Sölden – Innsbruck


Breakfast at hotel.

Meet the driver at your hotel and depart by coach for Sölden.

Board a gondola to climb up the Gaislachkog mountain and admire the view over the Tyrolean Alps and surrounding valleys. On the top you can find a fine dining restaurant ‘Ice Q’ and an exclusive interactive James Bond exhibition as well.

Return by coach to Innsbruck. Explore the sights of this charming city and enjoy an interesting and varied tour through the beautiful old town.

Day 6 – Innsbruck – Linz – Vienna


Breakfast at hotel.

Meet the driver at your hotel and depart by coach for Linz.

After a short lunch break (not included) and sightseeing in Linz your journey will continue to Vienna.

Day 7 – Vienna


Breakfast at hotel.

Meet the driver at your hotel for a half day sightseeing tour by coach in Vienna.

Discover the Austrian capital using audio PopGuide and visit the most important sights like St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Hofburg, Prater and much more.

After the sightseeing your driver will take you to the airport or station in Vienna.
