Dublin

Dublin, capital of the Republic of Ireland, is on Ireland’s east coast at the mouth of the River Liffey. Its historic buildings include Dublin Castle, dating to the 13th century, and imposing St Patrick’s Cathedral, founded in 1191. City parks include landscaped St Stephen’s Green and huge Phoenix Park, containing Dublin Zoo.

Cliff of Moher

When you make your pilgrimage to the Cliffs of Moher, you’re coming for one of two things: the staggering height of the rock face, and the even more staggering beauty of the views from the top. Soaring to 214m, the striated stone reaches its long fingers southward to counties Cork and Kerry beyond, with a keen eye from O'Brien's Tower even able to spot the Aran Islands to the north.

Day 2

Dublin

Today we will arrange a breakfast box because you will need to reach the Dublin Visitor Centre in the  morning to join the Cliff of Moher tour.

With an experienced  and award-winning guide you will visit one of the most famous and fascinating tourist attractions in Ireland: imposing cliffs 214 meters high overlooking the sea.

The Cliffs of Moher (Aillte an Mhothair, meaning "cliffs of ruin", in Irish Gaelic) have important numbers: they are 8 kilometers long and reach a maximum height of 214 meters. This world-famous tourist destination is a must-see for a first trip to Ireland.

Walking overhanging the sea is a unique feeling, it seems to be at the edge of the world and the landscape reaches the maximum poetry when you turn on the colours of the sunset. The wonderful peace is interrupted only by the flight of birds, the sound of the wind and the waves crashing on the rocks.

The entrance into the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre is also included with this tour, where you can deepen your knowledge about the history and significance of these massive cliffs, as well as Irish folklore.

Also on the day's itinerary is a stop by the beautiful village of Doolin. Lost in the bright green of West Ireland, Doolin is a coastal village nestled in County Clare overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Consisting of two main routes, Fisher Street and Roadford, Doolin is best known as the home of traditional Irish music. Take some time for yourself: admire the old cottages and their thatched roofs, colourful terraced houses, cows grazing on the roadside and don’t forget to stop at a local pub for a fresh Guinness.

Tour remarks:

  • Please wear or bring appropriate clothing including walking shoes and rain gear due to Ireland's changeable weather

  • This tour is not suitable for persons with limited mobility due to the amount of walking

  • From November 1st, the tour will not include the visit at Doolin Village. Instead, you will enjoy a 60 minute stop in Galway City, the European Capital of Culture! This is a slight change for the Winter period only.

We will end the day back in the city centre of Dublin at around 8:30 pm.

Please transfer to your hotel independently.

Day 3

Dublin

After breakfast, you will enjoy a full-day self-guided sightseeing of the city using the hop on-off bus which is the best way to enjoy the beautiful city of Dublin

The Irish capital is rich in monuments and museums to visit. But Dublin is above all atmosphere that you can feel talking to people, walking along the Liffey and sipping a Guinness in the many pubs of the city. A journey to discover a city of timeless charm that has enchanted poets and travellers.

We suggest getting off the bus and visiting the following places and spots.

Trinity College.  It is one of the oldest universities in Ireland, founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I. It contains ancient bookstores full of charm, beautifully illuminated treasures such as the Book of Kells and museums not to be missed.

The Castle of Dublin, one of the most important buildings of Irish history.

St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin’s most famous church and a monument to Irish Catholicism. Inside the cathedral, there is the tomb of the writer Jonathan Swift and Stella, his companion, to whom is dedicated a nave of the church.

Ha' Penny Bridge: the iconic Dublin Bridge and one one of the most 'photo-covered' places in the city. Built in 1816 the Ha' Penny Bridge joins the two banks of the Liffey River. You may wonder why the name "Penny" … when it was built, whoever wanted to pass on the bridge had to pour half a penny

Temple Bar: If you want to visit Dublin at its best, you will have to explore this area, full of small streets, galleries and exhibition spaces. But most importantly, you’ll have to spend at least one night in a pub in Temple Bar.

The statue of Molly Malone: another icon of Dublin. A statue dedicated to Molly (or Mary) Malone. The legend says that she was a girl with a double life, a fishmonger by day and a prostitute by night.

In 1880 a well-known Gaelic folk song called "Cockles and Mussels", "cockles and mussels", written by an unknown author, evokes the legend, freeing it in the collective imagination.

The rest of the evening will be at leisure.

Transfer at your hotel independently.
