Bordeaux

Bordeaux, hub of the famed wine-growing region, is a port city on the Garonne River in southwestern France. It’s known for its Gothic Cathédrale Saint-André, 18th- to 19th-century mansions and notable art museums such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux. Public gardens line the curving river quays. The Grand Place de la Bourse, centred on the Three Graces fountain, overlooks the Miroir d’Eau reflecting pool.

Saint Emilion

Saint-Émilion is a commune in Southwestern France. In the heart of the country of Libournais, in a region of wine hills, Saint-Emilion is a medieval city located at the crossroads of Bordeaux, Saintonge and Périgord. Now World-famous for its wines, Saint Emilion boasts a very long and rich history from a pilgrimage to a powerful economic town. You can wander along the city walls, imagine the monks’ life through the remains of the monasteries and immerse yourself into the secret of the stone quarries.

ITINERARY

Day 1

Bordeaux

Arrival at Bordeaux Mérignac airport and Transfer to the hotel in Bordeaux Center.
Our driver will be waiting for you at the arrival lobby with your name board, and take you directly to the hotel.

The oldest monument in Bordeaux, dated from IInd century after JC, it was a huge amphitheatre built for the venue of Emperor Caracalla in Aquitaine.

Day 3

A unique day in Bordeaux Medoc Vineyards.

A private car will be arranged for you this day for 8H service (included)
Discover the no-pair ROAD OF CHATEAUX from Bordeaux to Saint-Estephe AOC
1-hour drive from Bordeaux to Pauillac. Both on the left and right of the D2 road, you will be astonished by wonderful Châteaux and bright colours of vineyards.

Château Margaux – First Growth – Margaux
Not possible to enter but worth walking in the surrounding gardens.


Back to Bordeaux for dinner and night.

Day 4

Saint Emilion Day!

If you are interested in history, wine and culture, you can go through 2000 years of history in Saint Emilion.


  • Visit Unesco’s site of Saint Emilion

Now World-famous for its wines, Saint Emilion boasts a very long and rich history from a pilgrimage to a powerful economic town. You can wander along the city walls, imagine the monks’life through the remains of the monasteries and immerse yourself into the secret of the stone quarries.


  • The Largest monolithic church in Europe

Built out of a single block a stone, this is definitely worth a visit. Stories and legends intermingle in this incredible monument.


  • A Gourmet Destination

With Saint Emilion, you can also think delicacies and traditional recipes.

Saint Emilion’s Macaron: this tradition has been passed down from generation to generation since Ursuline’s sister in 1620.

Also, this delicious fish called lamprey of Sainte Terre. Also called « Vampire of the Seas », it is cooked in local red wine and is so tasty!
