Bari

Bari is the second most important economic centre of mainland Southern Italy after Naples and is well known as a port and university city, as well as the city of Saint Nicholas. It’s made up of four different urban sections. In the north area, there are the splendid Basilica of Saint Nicholas, Cathedral of San Sabino & Svevo Castle built for Frederick II, which is now also a major nightlife district. To the south is the Murat quarter (erected by Joachim Murat the modern heart of the city with a promenade on the sea and the major shopping district (via Sparano and via Argiro).

Alberobello is a fascinating place where the major attraction is "trulli", the traditional dome-shaped buildings made from the local stone. The town is surrounded by the olive groves and vineyards typical of the region. As well as its houses the town of Alberobello is very tied to ancient traditions and has developed a flourishing handicraft industry, especially related to the manufacture of iron, the production of baskets in olive wood, and the production of renowned wine and oil and not last one the local cuisine with famous hand-made pasta named "orecchiette"
